Stainless Steel
Accessories
Sanitary
Piping Installation Components -
As a supplier of specialized components to those companies making the
very first installations of all welded piping systems in the Dairy
industry in the early '60s, ESC developed or stocked a group of
components to meet common needs. These included:
- Slightly crowned plugs to close
the ends of Schedule 40 pipe.
- Standard lengths of Schedule 40
pipe, the preferred hanger fabrication material.
- Machined threaded plugs for the
mounting end of pipe hangers, to receive "all-thread".
- Convenient lengths of stainless
steel "all-thread" rod to bolt hangers to wall and
ceiling structure.
- Convenient lengths of 1/2"
and 3/4" round bar stock to weld hanger clamps to Schedule 40
Pipe supports.
- A family of bolted rubber-bushed
hanger clamps for common sanitary tubing sizes.
- Several standard pump mounting
plates for centrifugal pumps.

COP Tanks
The manufacturing skills developed
during many years of experience in fabricating CIP Unit tanks
and HTST Constant Level Tanks have now been applied
to tanks for COP (Cleaned-Out-Of-Place) procedures. Basic COP tanks
consist of only a tank, pump and solution distribution manifolds for
side or end-to-end recirculation. Tanks may be supplied with or less
hinged covers, and most are specified to be on wheels.
Many variations of the
"standard" tank have been supplied to user
requirements. The highly versatile COP Tank shown below
featured:

- Two compartments, for solution
make-up for COP use, and for fresh water.
- Supplemental distribution valves
and manifolds for washing short lengths of flexible tubing, inside
and outside.
- An integral HPLV (High-Pressure
Low Volume) pump, hose and nozzle, supplied from the solution tank
and water tank via manual valves, for use in cleaning nearby
equipment not susceptible to CIP or COP.

Junction Boxes and Installation
Accessories
The provision of Air, Electrical
Power and Instrumentation to the highly automated process installed in
a sanitary "wet" area demanded development of a means of
routing these services to the controlled components and sensors in an
attractive sanitary manner which would protect the services from the
generally "harsh" environment.
ESC has developed a family of AOB's
(Air-Output Boxes) and Junction Boxes to meet this need. These
components are supplied as solid gasketed boxes, for field cutting of
holes in the required location. Sanitary tubing is the preferred
"conduit" for normal use, and the tubing is welded to the
box, which in turn is supported from an appropriately located Schedule
40 pipe support. |
