The final stages of many CIP programs are more variable than all that comes before. An Acid Rinse or an Acid Wash will be followed by another FINAL RINSE not incorporated in the program for the teaching skid and controls. This rinse may involve use of the RESISTIVITY SENSOR to verify that the rinse water leaving the circuit is free of all traces of contaminants in the form of chemicals or product.
Then, depending upon the frequency of use of the CIP Skid and CIPS/R piping, a DRAIN SYSTEM step may be used to drain everything, including the CIP Skid Water Tank.
